About Us

India speaks in more languages than almost anywhere else on earth, and most of us live our daily lives switching between two or three of them without thinking twice. But the moment you need to actually type or share something in a language you don't use every day — a message to a grandparent in Marathi, a caption in Tamil, a note to a colleague in Bengali — the tools available online tend to be either paid, cluttered with ads, or built for someone else's workflow entirely. BhashaBadlo was built to close that gap: a translator that's fast, free, and made with Indian languages as the starting point, not an afterthought.

The idea is simple. Type it, speak it, or upload a photo of it — and get it back in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Odia, or Urdu, in seconds, without creating an account or hitting a paywall halfway through. Once you have your translation, you can copy it, hear it read aloud, or send it straight to WhatsApp, X, or Instagram — because most people don't translate text just to look at it, they translate it to send it to someone.

Under the hood, core translation runs through MyMemory, a free community-driven translation engine, and the optional Rewrite & Improve tools (tone changes, grammar fixes, simplifying text) run through a separate AI provider when one is configured. Nothing about that is hidden — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what that means for your data.

BhashaBadlo is built and maintained independently, not by a large company with a support team — which means it's also genuinely responsive to feedback. If something's broken, a translation reads oddly, or you've got an idea for what this should do next, the Contact page reaches a real person, not a ticket queue.
